The Hardin-Jefferson ISD Communications Department is committed to providing our stakeholders with up-to-date information on news and events related to HJISD, and to provide effective communications that ultimately result in mutually beneficial relationships among parents, students, staff, taxpayers, media, and the district.

The Communications Department is responsible for managing all internal and external communication and supports the students, teachers, and administration of Hardin-Jefferson ISD by promoting the district’s outstanding achievements.

In order to keep employees and the community informed, the department utilizes multiple communication platforms such as the district's website, Twitter, Facebook, Finalsite mass notification system and the local media.

Hardin-Jefferson ISD Media Pass Requests

All media requests must be submitted to and will be evaluated by:

Approved Media Outlets & Categories:

  • Broadcast Affiliates – ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC

  • Digital Media – Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, MaxPreps, Texan Live, VYPE

  • Print Media – Beaumont Enterprise, Orange Leader, Port Arthur News, Silsbee Bee

  • Visiting Media – Media representatives from visiting schools covering games in HJISD facilities

  • Professional Photographers – HJISD reserves the right to request copies of photographs taken at events

  • Student Media – Yearbook, Journalism, and campus videography programs (No pass required; must be accompanied by a school sponsor)
