Hardin-Jefferson ISD strives to employ the most qualified applicants; therefore, applicants with a valid teaching certificate will be considered first for substitute teaching positions. In addition to substitute teachers, Hardin-Jefferson ISD utilizes substitutes for paraprofessional staff (clerical and classroom aides) as well as school nurses.
Applicants selected as substitute candidates are required to be fingerprinted before attending a substitute orientation.
