Board Goals
2020-2021 HJISD district goals  The purpose of these goals is to provide the best possible education for all students in an environment that promotes and develops responsible, productive citizens through a cooperative effort of all parents, students, teachers, administrators, and the Hardin-Jefferson community. Hardin-Jefferson ISD Goals 2020-2021    Goal 1 – Early Childhood Literacy Goal The percent of 3rd grade students that score “meets grade level or above” on STAAR Reading will increase from 53% to 61% by June 2025.   Annual Target for 2020-21 is 53%.  Goal 2 – Early Childhood Math Goal The percent of 3rd grade students that score “meets grade level or above” on STAAR Math will increase from 54% to 62% by June 2025.   Annual Target for 2020-21 is 54%.  Goal 3 – CCMR Outcome Goal The percent of graduates that meet the criteria for CCMR will increase from 71% to 77% by June 2025.   Annual Target for 2020-21 is 71%.  Goal 4 – Community Relations, Communications and Image Development HJISD will continue to focus on communicating a pro-HJISD; pro-public education narrative to ensure that positive, transparent news about the district is reaching the community. The District will actively reach out to all stakeholders regarding both district successes and needs, and will seek authentic feedback from the community.    Goal 5 – Staffing HJISD seeks to recruit and retain a diverse and high quality faculty and staff, that is a reflection of our communities and student population.  In order to do so, the district will: study current working environments, campus needs, market pay analysis, coaching/sponsor stipend structure, and other areas impacting employment of quality staff.   provide proactive, effective and ongoing professional development for staff members that is appropriate for their responsibilities/assignment.
